Selling situations
Sell wire from demolition and strip-outs
Demolition cable is a timing problem as much as a value problem. It comes out fast, it is bulky, and the site needs it gone before the next phase.
We buy recovered cable when the construction is identifiable: service cable, feeders, bare copper, tray and control cable, and medium voltage cable from a demolished service.

Separate the three streams
Copper conductor, aluminum conductor and mixed unidentified material are three different quotes. Sorting them on site is the single biggest improvement a demolition contractor can make to the return.
Keep the identifiable pieces whole
A service cable pulled in one length is worth more than the same cable cut into transportable chunks. If it has to be cut, cut at terminations rather than in the middle, and keep the jacket print on at least one piece.
Coordinate with the schedule
Tell us the demolition window and where the material will be staged. A pickup scheduled before the roll-off leaves is cheaper than one scheduled after everything has been mixed and hauled.
Questions about this
Do you buy mixed demolition wire?
Yes, but as mixed material. Sorting copper, aluminum and identifiable cable raises the return significantly.
Can you collect during demolition?
Yes, coordinated with the site schedule and the general contractor's access rules.
What about cable with damaged jacket?
It is assessed as recovered material. Disclose the damage rather than concealing it.
