Sell surplus wire from an industrial plant
Plants buy cable by the project and dispose of it by the pallet.
Industrial cable is specified for a process, not a shelf. When a line is reconfigured, a drive is replaced or a building is decommissioned, the cable that comes out is often still serviceable — and often still tagged with the construction, voltage class and footage that make it quotable.
We buy tray cable, VFD cable, control and instrumentation cable, XHHW feeders, welding cable and medium voltage cable from plants across Tennessee. Turnarounds are the best window: the crew is on site, the material is documented, and nothing has been moved to long-term storage yet.

What industrial plants typically hold
- Tray, TC and PLTC cable from rack replacements
- Shielded VFD cable from drive upgrades
- Instrumentation cable with pair and shield markings
- XHHW and RHW feeders from panel and MCC changes
- Medium voltage cable from substation work
- Welding cable and portable power cord
What to send for a quote
- The factory tag from each reel, photographed flat
- Voltage class and insulation for medium voltage lots
- Whether the cable was energized, and for how long
- Turnaround dates and the access rules at the gate
- Loading equipment available on site
Questions from industrial plants
Do you buy cable that has been in service?
Yes, with the service history disclosed. Years energized, environment and any test results all affect the offer.
Can you work inside a turnaround schedule?
Yes. Give us the window and the gate requirements and pickup is planned around them, not against them.
How is plant cable valued?
Construction, size, voltage class, footage and condition. A tagged 15 kV reel and a coil of used THHN are priced on completely different terms.
