Sell THHN, THWN and THWN-2 Wire in Tennessee

The everyday building wire that fills most surplus racks.

THHN and THWN-2 are the workhorse conductors on almost every commercial job in Tennessee. Because they are ordered by the reel and pulled by the foot, a cancelled project or a design change usually leaves partial reels behind — and partial reels are exactly what we buy.

We purchase copper and aluminum THHN, THWN and THWN-2 in any quantity, from a single 500-foot reel to a pallet of full 1,000-foot spools. Thermoplastic insulation with a nylon jacket, 600-volt rated, 90°C dry and 75°C wet, in the standard black, white, red, blue, green, brown, orange, yellow, gray and purple colors.

Reading the reel

Footage matters more than reel count. If the tag is faded, a tape measure across the barrel and the number of wraps will usually get us close enough to quote, and we will confirm on pickup.

Questions about THHN / THWN

Do you buy partial reels of THHN?

Yes. Partial reels are normal in this trade. Give us the footage marked on the tag, or your best estimate, and note whether the wire has been pulled through conduit.

Is aluminum THHN worth selling?

Aluminum building wire is purchased, but at a different value than copper. Tell us the metal on the form so the quote reflects the right material from the start.

What if the reel tag is missing?

Send a photo of the conductor jacket printing instead. The surface print carries the size, insulation type and voltage rating, which is enough to identify the product.

Do you take mixed colors on one pallet?

Yes. Mixed-color lots from a single job are common. List the colors and approximate footage of each and we will quote the lot together.
