The process
How selling surplus wire works
No account, no listing, no auction. Four steps, and the first one takes about three minutes on a phone.
Send what you have
The quote form asks for the metal, wire type, size, voltage, footage, reel count, weight, condition and location. Only a few fields are required. Photos of the reel tag and jacket print are optional and they are the fastest way to a firm number.
We read the tag
Construction, conductor material, size, voltage class and footage come off the tag and the jacket print. If a tag is missing or faded, we ask for one more photo rather than guessing.
You get an offer
The offer reflects what the cable is, not what it weighs. Partial reels are priced on usable footage. Used cable is priced with the condition you disclosed, not the condition we hoped for.
Pickup or freight
For lots in Tennessee, pickup is scheduled around your dock, gate or plant access. For heavy lots far from a route, freight can be cheaper, and we will say so.
What makes a fast quote possible
Five facts decide most of the value, and four of them are printed on the cable:
- Metal — copper or aluminum
- Construction — THHN, XHHW-2, MC, tray, SER, medium voltage
- Size — AWG or MCM, and conductor count
- Voltage class — 600 V, 1 kV, 15 kV, 35 kV
- Usable footage and condition
The sixth is logistics: where the wire sits and what it takes to load it.

Process questions
How long does a quote take?
Most lots are quoted once the tag, footage and location are in hand. Missing details are the only thing that slows it down, which is why the form asks for the tag photo first.
Do I have to accept the offer?
No. A quote is information, not an obligation. If the number does not work for you, keep the wire.
Who arranges loading?
We do, and we will tell you what equipment the pickup needs. If a forklift or crane is required on your side, say so on the form so the right truck is sent.
Can you sign in at a plant or federal facility?
Yes, when the site contact and access requirements are provided in advance. Security escorts, PPE rules and delivery windows are planned around, not argued with.
